I am not getting the swine flu vaccine
45Swine Flu Shot - No Thanks.
Not for me.
I have decided not to get the swine flu vaccine. Here are my reasons:
1) I am healthy. I haven't had a flu in a long time, and take very good care of myself. I get lots of sleep. I meditate when I feel a little bit down. I have had the flu in the past, but it was manageable. I don't have asthma, aids, or any other condition.
2) I work from home. I don't get exposed to very many people. I don't do malls or crowds. I go to the grocery store, and that's about it. Most of my time is spent outdoors without the crowds. If I get sick, I just stay at home. Only difference is that I wouldn't sign in to work.
3) I don't like vaccine preservatives. Thimerisol has mercury in it - not good. I also did a bit of research on squaline, and am concerned about an immune system over-response.
4) I am afraid of needles. Well hospitals too. They smell funny to me, and I don't like to be around sick / dying people. Sounds bad, but it's the truth.

I don't blame you and share your reasons!
Personally I am not taking it because I am also not high risk and the long term effect data regarding side-effects is still unproven.
Is it just an excuse to pump some form of substance into your body? Do I trust the government? The side effects could kill more people than the flu itself. The vaccine contains mercury for starters.
Great hub

Completely understandable. I'm not getting it because I'm not in the "at-risk" group. However, you should know that there is a version without Thimerisol and you can request it. You should also know that adjuvants are not allowed in vaccines in the United States.
